What is the air transmission channel?
In air conditioning systems and all cooling or heating equipment, piping and channels should be used for air transfer. In fact, the air transfer channel is an important part of these systems, which is used to transfer and guide air. These channels can be round or square, and the channel with a round cross-section has better air conduction. But in Iran, most of the employers tend to implement the air duct in the form of a square. Now, in whatever shape these channels are, they must be designed and implemented in a principled way so that there is no leakage in the channel path. Air leakage in the channel causes a lot of energy to be wasted and the system does not have the desired efficiency. For this reason, for ducting air conditioning and other systems, it is necessary to get help from experts in this matter.
The types of air transmission channels based on sex
Air conduction channels are divided according to gender as follows:

Galvanized air transmission channel
One of the most famous air transmission channels is called galvanized channel, which is made of galvanized sheet. These channels can be made in types such as round, square, spiral and insulated and can be used in different conditions. Also, these channels can be made in different thicknesses. Galvanized channels are resistant to moisture and sunlight and do not find any problems in these conditions.
It is better to mention that the air flow in round channels is more uniform than the square type. Also, the amount of air flow drop in these models is less. However, one cannot ignore the high use of square channels in some situations.
Aluminum air transmission channel
Polyurethane and Phenolic Air Transmission Channel
These types of channels are pre-insulated air transmission channels that are made of polyurethane or phenolic. The thickness of these channels is also different and they are usually produced with a thickness of 2 cm. Polyurethane or phenolic insulation panels are very rigid and do not require separate insulation. Because these materials are considered to be the best thermal and cold insulators. However, it should be noted that these pre-insulated channels also have disadvantages. In this regard, it should be noted the high vulnerability that the channel may be broken and damaged with the slightest pressure and physical impact.
Fabric
Among other types of channels and air transmission channels based on the type, we should mention fabric channels. Fabric channels are generally made of polyester material and can be used in different colors. These types of channels have little weight compared to other channels, and for this reason, they put less stress on the structure of the structure. Also, the light weight of these channels makes their installation easier. However, as you can guess, fabric air transmission channels are not very strong and are not suitable for some projects.

Flexibel air transmission channel
Flexible or hose channels are also famous types of channels that are used in many projects because of their advantages. These channels have high flexibility and are often made of aluminum foil. Also, these channels can have polyester insulation and elastomeric insulation. Of course, most of the insulations used in these channels are glass wool or polyester fibers.
Plastic air transmission channel
Plastic channels are less used these days. But this category of channels also has advantages such as light weight, high installation speed, noise reduction, reasonable price, and being anti-bacterial and fungal.
